Honkai: Nexus Anima — All Anima List

All combat and meta information on this page is based on Evolution Test beta data and may change before the global release.

Understanding Anima Creatures

Anima are the collectible companion creatures at the heart of Honkai: Nexus Anima gameplay. Each Anima possesses a star rating from two to five stars, an Aspect identity determining synergy bonuses, and a Trait defining combat role and row placement. Planestriders capture and bond with Anima throughout Iia town exploration, then deploy them in Nexus Battle formations for auto-chess tactical combat.

The Evolution Test confirms over forty Anima species ranging from common two-star filler units to flagship five-star carries like Mesmerith and Cumulon. Star rating influences base stats and upgrade potential but does not solely determine viability—synergy contribution and Trait utility matter equally. Use this database alongside our Anima tier list for competitive rankings.

Five-Star Anima

Five-star Anima represent the rarest recruits with the highest stat ceilings. Bladehound dominates War Protector roles with exceptional front-line durability. Hoppelon mirrors this in Light compositions. Mesmerith combines Hate Aspect with Hothead Trait for back-row sleep CC carry potential unmatched in current beta content.

Cumulon leads Reality Blaster damage with safe Back row AoE output. Lumehart provides essential Light Cherubim healing sustaining high-damage teams through extended encounters. Magisdrake offers alternative Reality Blaster scaling for players who recruit it during mid-game progression events in Iia town.

Four-Star Anima by Aspect

Four-star Anima form the core of most Evolution Test teams. Memory cluster units Camcorgi, Cinechel, Inkicorn, Inkifoal, Mushgloomini, Chimaura, and Plumelune enable the strongest synergy scaling. Light four-stars include Bunmareen, Apollinis, and Mimoo covering Striker, Protector, and Mastermind roles.

War four-stars Felinoxie, Donubi, Cublade, and Damasque supply front-line aggression. Hate four-stars Scorscythe, Vixemourne, and Damasque deliver burst and control. Reality four-stars Faeflux, Marshalbird, and Frigull support Blaster and Mastermind compositions. Browse Aspect details in our Aspects explained guide.

Three-Star and Two-Star Anima

Three-star Anima serve early progression before higher-star replacements arrive. Puddlipup, Taileep, Lepinamel, Pupanoo, and Eggnok fill gaps across Satiation, Hate, Light, Memory, and War identities respectively. Explorer Anima Taileep and Olivesper prioritize Iia exploration utility over combat optimization.

Two-star Nomnom represents the lowest combat tier, useful only when roster options are extremely limited during the first hours of beta access. Replace two and three-star combat units promptly as recruitment opportunities appear through story quests and Nexus Battle rewards. Our beginner first week guide tracks when key replacements become available.

Using the Anima Database

Filter Anima mentally by Aspect when building teams—count how many units share Light, War, Memory, or other identities before committing upgrade materials. Cross-reference Trait roles against our Traits explained page for row placement guidance.

Interactive tools complement this static list. Plan formations with the team formation planner, calculate synergy thresholds with the Aspect synergy calculator, and save full rosters in the deck builder for quick Nexus Battle preparation.

Recruitment Priority During Beta

Evolution Test hours are limited before the data wipe, so recruit toward three-unit synergy clusters before chasing isolated five-star units. A complete Memory trio at four stars often outperforms a single five-star unit without supporting Aspect partners during mid progression Nexus Battle stages.
