Your Companion Creatures
Anima are collectible companion creatures central to Honkai: Nexus Anima. They fight in Nexus Battles, assist during Iia exploration, and grow through bonding activities. Each Anima carries an Aspect identity, a combat Trait, and star rating from two to five stars in the Evolution Test build.

Evolution and Chromatic Variants
The Evolution Test officially confirms Anima evolution—a bond-driven transformation system where companions change form and combat style. Inkifoal evolves into Inkicorn and ultimately Atragasus, as shown in the Evolution Battle cinematic against Blade. Cublade and Bladehound demonstrate similar evolution lines tied to Honkai IP characters.
Chromatic Anima are rare color-variant creatures appearing under specific encounter conditions during exploration, missions, and Apex Club challenges. Bonding features expanded with commemorative photography and custom naming for each companion. Full details appear in the Anima evolution guide and Chroma Anima & bonding pages.
Aspects and Traits
Aspects grant team-wide synergy bonuses when three, six, or nine Anima share an identity. Traits define row placement and combat role during auto-chess Nexus Battles. Master both layers using Aspects explained and Traits explained alongside the Aspect synergy calculator.
